Summery, fruity cocktails are a mainstay of a tropical beach vacation, and the beach bar mixologist can stir up whatever you desire. Here are our top ten tropical beach bar refreshers, complete with a quickie tutorial on how to assemble them (just in case your beach bar tender doesn’t know…). Bottoms up!
1-1/2 oz. strawberry schnapps, 1 oz. light rum, 1 oz. lime juice, 1 tsp. powdered sugar, 1 oz. cut-up strawberries (mix wit ice in cocktail shaker with crushed ice and strain into martini-style glass).
1/2 oz. sloe gin, 1 oz. gin, 1/2 oz. grenadine syrup, splash lime juice, club soda (pour into highball glass with ice).
3 oz. light rum, 3 tbsp. coconut milk, 3 tbsp. Crushed pineapple (place in blender with crushed ice, blend, and pour into glass)
2 oz. tequila, orange juice, 2 dashes grenadine (mix in highball glass with ice).
1 oz. gold rum, 1 oz. dark rum, 1 oz. triple sec, 1/2 oz. lime juice, 1/2 oz. simple syrup (mix in cocktail shaker with ice and strain into glass).
1-1/2 oz, vodka, 4 oz. grapefruit juice, 1-1/2 oz. cranberry juice (mix in highball glass with ice).
2 oz. white tequila, 1 oz. cointreau, 1 oz. lime juice, 1/2 tsp. simple syrup (mix in cocktail shaker with ice and strain into wide salt-rimmed glass).
3 mint sprigs, 2 tsp. Sugar, 3 tbsp lime juice, 1-1/2 oz. light rum, club soda (mix in cocktail shaker with ice and strain into a martini-style glass).
1-1/2 oz. green chartreuse, pineapple juice (pour into old fashioned glass with ice).
